Science Rendezvous at KPU Langley Campus – May 7, 2016

Free Wellness Camp for Young Women

Every August, the Looking Glass Summer Camp offers young women, between the ages of 14 and 23, experiencing disordered eating an 8-day camp focusing on wellness, supportive nutrition, fun, and friendship – all in the spectacular setting of Loon Lake Forestry Camp in British Columbia.

Looking Glass partners with outdoor adventure specialists, Pinnacle Pursuits, to create a camp filled with adventure, fun, and many memorable experiences. Together, they offer a rich program of activities designed to inspire, educate, and transform – all while having fun and enjoying the company of new friends.

The Looking Glass Summer Camp is geared to young women between the ages of 14 and 23 who are experiencing disordered eating, but are medically and psychiatrically stable.

Find Your Fit Career Exploration Event – Thursday, January 28 from 3 to 7pm

This career exploration event has interactive stations that highlights the skills needed and the resources available to learn about the top in-demand occupations in BC. The forecast for B.C. jobs over the next 10 years is almost 1 million openings.  Of those openings, about 36% will require a university degree and 42% will require college or trades training.

Some of the in-demand occupations are engineers, accountants, trades people, geologists, info techs and more. Top priority health professions include doctors, nurses, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, respiratory therapists, medical lab techs, ultrasonographers and more.
