The “Tomorrow’s Master of Digital Media” program offers students from grade 9 to 12 the CDMopportunity to collaboratively create a playable digital media product within 3 weeks! Students will learn different software programs required to create digital art, code apps, and make iterate designs.

Animation Summer Intensives at Vanarts

Vancouver Institute of Media Arts is offering their annual one-week, full-time summer vanartsintensive programs to give students a fun and engaging intro into the careers that they train for in their one-year professional diploma programs.  Students who continue on to full-time studies may have these courses credited.

Open to Students ages 16 and up.  Students enrolling in 2 or more programs are eligible for a tuition discount.

Free Wellness Camp for Young Women

Every August, the Looking Glass Summer Camp offers young women, between the ages of 14 and 23, experiencing disordered eating an 8-day camp focusing on wellness, supportive nutrition, fun, and friendship – all in the spectacular setting of Loon Lake Forestry Camp in British Columbia.

Looking Glass partners with outdoor adventure specialists, Pinnacle Pursuits, to create a camp filled with adventure, fun, and many memorable experiences. Together, they offer a rich program of activities designed to inspire, educate, and transform – all while having fun and enjoying the company of new friends.

The Looking Glass Summer Camp is geared to young women between the ages of 14 and 23 who are experiencing disordered eating, but are medically and psychiatrically stable.

Looking Glass Scholarships

Each year, the Looking Glass scholarship program awards young people who are committed to pushing forward in their recovery from an eating disorder and who are ready to begin or continue on with their academic pursuits.

This year, the following six scholarships are available to eligible applicants:

  • Rise Above – Clayton Family Scholarship (Two): $2,500 each
  • Pursue Your Passion Scholarship (Three): $2,500 each
  • Persevere Scholarship: $2,500 (The winner of this scholarship will also receive the Elise Skoglund Bursary of $1,000)

Eligibility criteria:

  • Preparing to enter or returning to a Canadian university or college program, in full time studies (3+ courses).
  • Enrolling in a program starting between September 2016 – January 2017.
  • Are currently receiving or have received treatment by a clinician for an eating disorder.
  • Applicants can range from high school graduates starting a diploma/degree, to those pursuing graduate/doctorate studies.
