Intercon Insurance, a successful insurance brokerage company located in downtown Vancouver, is seeking a full-time Processing Typist/Receptionist, Commercial Insurance department.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Typing Letters
- Invoicing
- Answering telephones
- Filing
- Other administrative duties
Qualifications:
- Excellent computer skills
- Excellent command of the English language
- Highly organized and able to set priorities and work independently
- 6 months to 1 year office environment experience OR completion of high school business/business computer applications courses
General insurance background preferred, but not necessary. We will train the right individual. Salary is entry level to start. Ideally, we are looking for someone who is dependable, willing to work hard and start at an entry-level. There are opportunities for future advancement for someone interested in a rewarding career in insurance.
Some schooling or General Insurance background preferred but not necessary. We will train the right individual.
Commercial insurance is the best department to be in when it comes to brokerages. The candidate will type and process commercial insurance documents and be able to learn the industry as they work. If this person is interested in a career in insurance then they will be able to take continuing education courses to get their licenses and even upgrade further to get a professional designation with the company cost-sharing tuition fees.
Intercom Insurance has been around since 1985 and we are part of a bigger group called the InsureBC Group that is made up of 80 agencies with the same ownership. We are close to being the most profitable of the 80 agencies.
